Epoxy Mortar Adhesive BinderLo-Mod Low Viscosity 100% Solids EpoxyEpoxy Product #10GENERAL DESCRIPTIONEpoxy Mortar Adhesive Binder - Low Viscosity - Product #10 is a 100% solids Lo-Mod Low Viscosity adhesive used as a binder for epoxy mortar systems in patching and grouting applications, as a seal coat for non-skid surfaces outside, and as a primer to insure high bond strength for coatings and patches. Product #10 Low Modulus Low Viscosity Epoxy Resin Adhesive and Binder System is Zero (0) VOC. ADVANTAGES
SURFACE PREPARATIONSurface to receive Product #10 Mortar Resin must he clean and sound. Remove all dirt, laitance, grease curing compounds and other foreign matter by sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or acid etching. Remove water and dust from all surfaces with an oil-free blast immediately prior to application. See Epoxy.com Surface Preparation Guide for more details. MIXING INSTRUCTIONSTemperature of Mortar Adhesive Binder Low Viscosity Product #10 must be 50 degrees F or above at time of mixing. Stir each component separately before blending. Mix two parts by volume of Part A with one part by volume of Part B for three minutes with a low speed electric drill motor equipped with a mixing paddle. To prepare Product #10 as a mortar, slowly add 3-5 parts by volume of clean, dry, well graded sand to one part by volume of mixed epoxy. Continue to mix until aggregate is thoroughly wetted down. APPLICATIONMortar Binder Low Viscosity Product #10 can be applied with a brush, roller or squeegee when used as a primer or seal coat. For skid resistance, broadcast sand at a rate of 2 lbs. per square yard. For mortar applications finish surface with trowel. Prime surface to be patched with neat material. Use of solvents for thinning Product #10 Low Mod Low Viscosity Adhesive Mortar will prevent proper cure. New concrete must he 28 days old prior to application of Product C10. Temperature of substrate must be above 40 degrees F. SAFETY PRECAUTIONSProlonged or repeated exposure may cause eye and skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical help. Use safety glasses with side shields and wear protective rubber gloves. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONSAll tools and equipment should be cleaned before the system gels.
Use MEK, Acetone, or any lacquer solvent.
