Product #10 Lo-Mod Epoxy Binder

Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean and sound. Remove dirt, laitance, grease, curing compounds, and other foreign matter by sandblasting, mechanical abrasion, or acid etching.

Mixing Instructions

1. Condition the material to at least 50°F before mixing.
2. Stir Part A and Part B separately.
3. Combine 2 parts Part A with 1 part Part B by volume.
4. Mix for three minutes with a low-speed drill and suitable paddle.
5. For mortar, slowly add 3-5 parts clean, dry, well-graded sand.
6. Continue mixing until the aggregate is thoroughly wetted.

Limitations

• Do not thin with solvents.
• New concrete must be at least 28 days old.
• The substrate temperature must be above 40°F.
• Material temperature must be at least 50°F when mixed.
• Use only clean, dry, well-graded aggregate in mortar.

Cleanup and Safety

Clean skin promptly with soap and water. If additional cleaning is needed, a waterless hand cleaner such as Gojo or Fast Orange may help. White vinegar or 91% isopropyl alcohol may also help remove remaining uncured epoxy. Strong solvents are not recommended on skin.

Clean tools and equipment promptly before cure. Xylene, acetone, MEK, and most lacquer thinners will work. Follow the current SDS, use suitable PPE and ventilation, observe fire precautions, and comply with local solvent-use and disposal requirements.
